Easter

mmmmm cupcakes. Pete and I hosted Easter Dinner this year at our house. I cooked and he cleaned! We had about 10 guests all together and it was a good day. These are the cupcakes that Marsha made. They were really good. We were able to use our new China we got from our wedding and of course the Nintendo Wii got a lot of good use. Just a few pics I took can be found here.

Weekend in Vermont

Tuesday, March 18, 2008
Yes, I realize we just got back from a ski trip...but we did head out for another weekend in Vermont. We stayed up at a condo that my lovely boss was very kind to let us use for the weekend. My parents met us there on Friday night, and Heather & Dave joined us on Saturday. Pete and I both rented skis on Saturday - we skied with my Dad and Dave. This was both my Father and I's 3rd time ever on skis, so it was good to do it together. We started out on the bunny slope, but by the end of the day we were taking some green trails from the top. My Dad did VERY well, and I think he is now addicted! On Sunday I went back to my board (skiing is way hard on my legs!) - and my Dad skied again. He was able to keep up with us for the most part and really enjoyed himself. Heather & Mom hung out at the condo and shopped during the day. We had some really fun apres ski action, St. Patty's Day style on Saturday afternoon. All in all it was a great weekend. I am tired and sore. No more weekend getaways for a while. This coming weekend Peter and I are hosting Easter dinner at our house. We love that the out-of-towners are coming to US this time! Should be a great weekend.

spunking things up a bit...

I'm trying to add some more content to my Blog to make it a tad more interesting. Got a few things in the works. You will notice the Traffic Feed on the right which tells me where the people are coming from who view this site. It's sort of cool. I'm always intrigued when I hear of someone who actually visits my website! I like that people enjoy viewing all of our photos. It's a great way of keeping long distance family & friends in the loop...I wish more people had blogs. You should all start one. They are super easy. Just click HERE.

I am also working on getting a separate blog going that will link off this one, for my crafts. I've been doing a lot of paper-crafting lately and want to start getting my work online to share. I am hoping to enter some stuff into a craft fair this fall to see how it sells. It's something I really enjoy doing so I hope it works out!

EDITED TO ADD: I've fixed the archives (finally!) - they are now working. Also - I've added my Tweets from Twitter on the right. If you don't know what Twitter is, it's pretty cool - check it out. It's sort of like a quick & dirty real time version of Blogging. You update what your status is in 140 words or less. If you are familiar with Facebook, this is similar to updating your status on there. You can update via SMS Text Messaging from your mobile phone. It definitely adds a great touch to people's blogs. I expect to do a lot of updating from my iPhone. (which I'm loving by the way).

Our trip to Vail

Tuesday, March 11, 2008
well we are back in one piece from our week-long vacation to Vail, Colorado. We had A BLAST - and took lots of great photos. The conditions & terrain in Colorado are nothing like here in the Northeast - and I have to admit it's now going to be hard to go back to skiing on corn snow, when we were able to enjoy all the fresh powder last week in Vail. This picture above is from the lift area around Mid-Vail. We arrived in Vail on Saturday evening, spent Sunday just relaxing, adjusting to altitude, checking out the town, and of course...shopping! We boarded Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - and decided to give our legs a break on Thursday and go snowmobiling instead (figured we would make my arms hurt too?). Here is a shot of us ready to go with our monster helmets:

we ended our week boarding on Friday all day, and were really tired - but it was worth it! The rest of the pics can be found here - if you look above each photo I tried to describe what's going on in the captions. I also took lots of fun little video clips but they take forever to upload so I think I am going to try something different and youtube it. Perhaps a montage?? Stay tuned. Anyway, hope you all enjoy the pics! Hooray for SPRING to be here soon! We are all tried of the cold weather.
