Memorial Day Weekend

Tuesday, May 27, 2008
we had an OUTstanding Memorial Day Weekend. The weather totally rocked! It bums me out to sit here from my office writing this as the weather still looks pretty decent outside...I'm wishing I was back up on the Cape right now!

We headed down to the Cape on Friday afternoon, had drinks in Plymouth with some friends, then headed down to Falmouth and met more friends for dinner. Nick & Jen drove down and met up with us late night, as they were heading to the Vineyard with us on Saturday morning.

We spent all day Saturday on the Vineyard, rode bikes around, shopped, ate, and had a few drinks while watching the boats in Oak Bluffs. Saturday evening we had dinner and then Sunday Pete and I were all over the place. We hit up the clam shack and even better the Chart Room for some late afternoon beverages. The sunset there was perfect. I snapped this shot as the sun was going down. I love taking photos of sunsets...

Yesterday we were back home for a day of yard work, fun! Pete and I bought a new patio set for our porch, so we put that together and had dinner and some drinks on it last night. Very relaxing.

Overall it was a great weekend...the summer is finally here! More pics of our weekend can be found in the gallery.

turkeys!!

this weekend we had several large visitors in our yard...in the form of 4 huge turkeys!! They were around our yard all day on Saturday, attempting to eat Pete's grass seed. haha. Anyway, these things weren't really afraid of us, so I took some photos - I couldn't believe how big the male turkey was. He kept showing us his feathers. Max was in the window going nuts of course. I'm not sure he realized that the turkeys were 3 times his size...

Here are a few pics and a little video clip of the wild turkeys.

tiny update

hey everyone, haven't updated in a few weeks...

this weekend we were down in the Franklin area having dinner with some friends. Since we were all the way down there, Korrie & Jen were nice enough to meet us at their house at 10pm for real quick tour! We hadn't seen it in a while and we know they've been working hard to get it ready. I can't get over how far they've come. Seeing all their hardwork reminds Pete and I of where we used to be with the house. It's a lot of work but their place is going to look so awesome when it's done. I snapped a quick photo of the homeowners when they were giving us a tour. And yes...a tour of a house would simply NOT be complete without a BUD LIGHT!!
